The Tomaree Trail Run Festival is hosted in conjunction with the TreX Cross Triathlon Series which together make up an action packed weekend of off road events for the entire family.
Taking in some of the most spectacular coastal, beach and bushland trails this trail run festival is set to delight, challenge and inspire trail runners of all ages and abilities.
Based in Fingal Bay the courses challenge runners with a diverse array of terrain and scenery, from the beauty of Tomaree National Park, to the expansive coastal views from the Tomaree coastal trail, to the challenge of the Samurai Dunes, to a rocky coastal section to the awe inspiring white sandy beaches of Fingal Bay, this course offers every type of trail run experience in the one spectacular and iconic location.
So whether your a hardcore trail runner, a weekend warrior, someone who just loves getting in 2 the outdoors, or a family and kids, there’s something for everyone at Trail Run Australia Tomaree.
Earn valuable ranking points and compete for the Cadet Title and prizes. Junior divisions include Under 16 Boys, Under 16 Girls, Under 14 Boys, Under 14 Girls, Under 12 Boys and Under 12 Girls.

A festival of flavours and quavers!
This November, exact dates to be confirmed, “Tastes at the Bay” proudly presented by Seabreeze Hotel, invites you to savour the flavours and the quavers with three days of fun, food, wine and jazz in the Nelson Bay CBD and Apex Park. Get your feet tapping and your taste buds dancing at this popular annual bayside bash!
Choose from a range of events other the three days to suit the whole family: from Tattinger Champagne with Oysters and the St Hallets Winery Winemaker’s Dinner at the Nelson Bay Golf Club, to a Jazz Luncheon Cruise!
Its free entry so get your groove on with some hot jazz from The Fruit Trees, New Orleans Quartet, and Dr Don’s Doubledose. Enjoy food stalls, music from Local and Hunter Valley wines, face painting, craft beer from Murrays Brewery, fresh local seafood, street entertainment and more “yum yum, sip sip, shooby-do-wops” than you can poke a stick at!
Port Stephens Open Women’s PRO-AM
Be involved in the Port Stephens Toyota NSW pro by competing in the Open Women AM. You do not have to be competing in the QS6000 to compete in this division. This is an amateur division and we highly recommend participation from all open women surfers.
Flowing on from the Phillip Island Pro in Victoria this Mens QS1000 links up nicely for surfers to gain seeding points for the 2018 season.

This year’s event will feature the very popular camel rides, face painting, two free jumping castles and other kids activities. The Carols and Nativity Play include real camels, donkeys and sheep.
Festivities at 5.30pm with live performances from local musicians, as well as lots of activities and great food for all the family. The highlight of the evening, the Carols and Nativity Play, will begin at 7.30pm.
Fireworks at 9pm (only) at d’Albora Marinas. Live bands, entertainment.
Celebrations begin at 9am with Parade to Fly Point where celebrations continue until 4pm.
